John Herron

John served 4 years in the Air Force, from 1968 to 1972. Shortly after his discharge, he began a career with an independent insurance agency in Santa Monica, CA. Hired as an assistant bookkeeper, John quickly rose through the agencys ranks. Within a year he was a sales associate and within 8 years, was the companys Chief Operating Officer. In 1981, John earned the title Executive Vice President, became a principle in the agency, and was named to the companys Board of Directors. In 1996, looking for a better quality of life for his family and himself, he sold his interest in the agency and moved to Sandpoint. Looking for a new challenge, but something that would allow him to continue to use the sales and negotiating skills that had served him in the insurance field, John joined Kaniksu Realty (now Tomlinson Sothebys International Realty) as a Sales Associate in the spring of 1996. He is now the Managing Broker.
